Oil-type Sunflower Exports From Romania Record Slow Month
PANAMA - Jul 16/19 - SNS -- Romania's exports of oil-type sunflowers in May plunged versus the previous month, judging from data from Eurostat.
Total exports throughout the month reached 32,428 metric tons (MT), down 74% from the previous month's total of 124,085. So far export sales have totalled 573,269 MT, up from 557,946 in the same period the last calendar year.
Turkey was the number one buyer for the month, taking 32,205 MT. Moldova was the second most important buyer receiving 220 MT, followed by Australia at 3 MT.
