China's Field Pea Imports Post Improved Oucome
PANAMA - Jul 8/19 - SNS -- Imports of field peas for China leapt versus the previous month in May, data from General Customs Administration of China shows.
Total imports throughout the month reached 195,734 metric tons (MT), up 157% from the previous month's total of 76,129. So far imports have reached 658,634 MT, down from 688,133 during the last calendar year.
During the month, Canada was the top export origin, supplying 192,116 MT. France was the second most important origin selling 1,438 MT, followed by Australia at 1,128 MT.
