China's Sunflower Seed Exports Reveal Slow Performance

PANAMA - Jul 8/19 - SNS -- Exports of sunflower seeds from China sank relative to the previous month in May, available data from General Customs Administration of China reports.

Shipments reached 40,435 metric tons (MT) in the month, down 33% from the 60,361 MT shipped the previous month. Exports so far total 268,170 MT, versus 243,169 during the previous calendar year.

The latest trade statistics revealed Turkey was largest destination, taking 10,544 MT. United Arab Emirates was the second most important importer receiving 8,003 MT, followed by Iraq at 4,774 MT.
