Australia's Lentils Exports Reveal Better Performance
PANAMA - Jul 3/19 - SNS -- At this point in the current marketing year posted a stronger result, with lentils export shipments from Australia leapt compared to the previous month in May, judging from official trade statistics from Australia Bureau of Statistics.
Exports during the month reached 27,942 metric tons (MT), up from 16,532 MT the previous month. This increased export sales so far during the marketing year to 145,373, down 54% last year.
The top importer during the month was Bangladesh, receiving 20,879 MT. India was the second most important importer buying 3,227 MT, followed by Pakistan at 1,783 MT.
