Green Pea Exports From Canada Continue Solid Trend
PANAMA - Jul 3/19 - SNS -- So far during the marketing year are maintaining a firmer tone, with green pea movement for Canada made solid advances, moving upward relative to the previous month in May, according to trade statistics from Statistics Canada.
Exports for the month reached 33,179 metric tons (MT), up from 23,347 MT the previous month. This boosted export sales so far during the marketing year to 271,485, up 9% last year.
India was the biggest consumer during the month, receiving 12,665 MT. China was the second most important destination taking 4,728 MT, followed by Saudi Arabia at 3,769 MT.
