India's Field Pea Imports Start With Strong Tone
PANAMA - Jun 15/19 - SNS -- So far during the calendar year with their a stronger tendency, with field pea imports by India rose sharply, leaping relative to the previous month in March, according to available statistics from Directorate General of Commercial Intelligence & Statistics.
Total imports throughout the month amounted to 131,896 metric tons (MT), up 197% from the previous month's total of 44,459. So far imports have amounted to 300,732 MT, up from 289,240 during the last calendar year.
For the month, Canada was the biggest shipper, selling 93,886 MT. Ukraine was the second most important export origin supplying 18,577 MT, followed by Russia at 10,470 MT.
