Lentil Imports By Turkey Reveal Better Result

PANAMA - Jun 12/19 - SNS -- Turkey's imports of lentils during April rose slightly versus the previous month, judging from data from Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT).

Total imports during the month amounted to 42,315 metric tons (MT), up 12% from the previous month's total of 37,741. So far imports have reached 124,308 MT, down from 141,214 in the same period the previous calendar year.

Canada was the biggest export origin during the month, supplying 24,771 MT. Kazakhstan was the second most important exporter selling 9,762 MT, followed by Ukraine at 3,942 MT.
