Green Lentil Exports From Canada Record Slow Month
PANAMA - Jun 6/19 - SNS -- Canada's exports of green lentils in April were well down, plunging versus the previous month, according to data from Statistics Canada.
Movement reached 27,962 metric tons (MT) in the month, down 21% from the 35,610 MT exported the previous month. Exports so far total 354,111 MT, compared to 340,678 during the previous marketing year.
Colombia was the largest buyer, buying 4,394 MT. United Arab Emirates was the second most important buyer receiving 3,876 MT, followed by Mexico at 2,387 MT.
