Canada's Yellow Pea Exports Sustain Solid Tone
PANAMA - Jun 6/19 - SNS -- Canada's export shipments of yellow peas in April leapt compared to the previous month, according to data from Statistics Canada.
Total exports in the month reached 237,118 metric tons (MT), up 89% from the previous month's total of 125,320. So far shipments have amounted to 1,791,473 MT, up from 1,534,669 in the same period the previous marketing year.
The latest trade statistics revealed China was most important destination, taking 131,667 MT. Bangladesh was the second most important destination buying 48,699 MT, followed by United States at 23,963 MT.
