Mustard Markets Unchanged

PANAMA - May 17/19 - SNS -- North American mustard seed markets remained mostly unchanged on the week, reflecting relatively well balanced supply and demand fundatmentals.

Seeding of this year's crop is making relatively good progress with over a third of the crop now in the ground, compared to 42% last year and the recent average of 40%.

The Canadian Grain Commission (CGC) reports 300 MT of bulk mustard seed export clearances through reporting terminals and primary elevators between May 6 to May 12. The season to date total is now 16,200 MT, compared to 17,500 MT exported during the previous marketing year.
