Red Lentil Exports From Canada Manage Easy Month
PANAMA - May 9/19 - SNS -- At this point in the current marketing year recordedan easier month, with red lentil movement for Canada plunged relative to the previous month in March, judging from recent data from Statistics Canada.
Export sales during the month totalled 63,465 metric tons (MT), down from 177,068 MT the previous month. This boosted exports so far during the marketing year to 808,084, up 76% last year.
Current movement statistics showed Bangladesh was biggest buyer, buying 16,950 MT in the month. India was the second most important importer buying 15,909 MT, followed by Sri Lanka at 8,761 MT.
