Lentils Exports From Australia Open On Easy Note
PANAMA - May 8/19 - SNS -- Shipments of lentilss for Australia fell relative to the previous month in March, official trade data from Australia Bureau of Statistics shows.
Total exports throughout the month reached 17,777 metric tons (MT), down 33% from the previous month's total of 26,716. So far export sales have totalled 101,798 MT, down from 237,305 in the same period the previous marketing year.
Current movement data showed Bangladesh was top destination, taking 7,105 MT for the month. Egypt was the second most important importer buying 5,083 MT, followed by Sri Lanka at 3,856 MT.
