No Changes in Beans

PANAMA - Apr 19/19 - SNS -- Dry edible bean markets finished the week's trading largely unchanged, with many buyers and exporters inactive because of the Easter weekend.

This saw the U.S. spot index for beans finished the week unchanged at 115.9 points. The Canadian pulse price index inched up 0.1 points to finish at 128, while the world pulse price index gained 0.9 points to close at 137.1.

Markets are hopeful demand for beans from Brazil improves during the 2019 calendar year. Though seeded area is down, the country is optimistic yields will improve for a modest increase in domestic production. However, residual supplies are down, resulting in no change in available supplies of domestic beans.
