Quiet Week in Birdseeds
PANAMA - Apr 19/19 - SNS -- Birdseed ingredient markets were little changed in a holiday shortened trading week.
Markets for white proso millet were steady after posting declines in previous weeks, while Canadian canaryseed was nominally unchanged with offers from growers and processors remaining in balance with the short term needs of exporters and packagers.
Confection sunflower was unchanged in the week, with new crop larges holding a significant premium to spot markets, reflecting expectations of relatively tight ending stocks and smaller than hoped seeding intentions.
