Lentil Exports From Canada Post Easy Opening
PANAMA - Apr 17/19 - SNS -- Canada's shipments of lentils during February dropped versus the previous month, according to data from Statistics Canada.
Movement reached 229,215 metric tons (MT) in the month, down 4% from the 239,825 MT exported the previous month. Export sales so far total 1,196,027 MT, compared to 859,097 in the same period the previous marketing year.
Recent movement data revealed India was largest destination, buying 78,729 MT in the month. Bangladesh was the second most important importer taking 38,625 MT, followed by United Arab Emirates at 23,998 MT.
