Mustard Seed Exports From Canada Open With Firm Note
PANAMA - Apr 17/19 - SNS -- Shipments of mustard seeds from Canada showed modest gains, advancing versus the previous month in February, official data from Statistics Canada reports.
Shipments reached 10,905 metric tons (MT) in the month, up 10% from the 9,920 MT shipped the previous month. Exports so far total 69,483 MT, versus 65,866 during the last marketing year.
The latest trade data reported United States was top buyer, taking 5,398 MT. Belgium was the second most important destination receiving 1,804 MT, followed by France at 610 MT.
