Green Pea Exports From Canada Manage Easy Opening
PANAMA - Apr 17/19 - SNS -- Canada's shipments of green peas in February dropped compared to the previous month, judging from data from Statistics Canada.
Total exports during the month reached 23,803 metric tons (MT), down 16% from the previous month's total of 28,279. So far exports have totalled 192,557 MT, up from 150,938 in the same period the last marketing year.
For the month, China was the top buyer, taking 5,654 MT. India was the second most important destination receiving 3,988 MT, followed by Nepal at 2,854 MT.
