Bulgaria's Oil-type Sunflower Exports Start With Weak Tone

PANAMA - Apr 17/19 - SNS -- At this point in the calendar year with a weaker tendency, with oil-type sunflower export shipments from Bulgaria were little changed, dropping compared to the previous month in February, according to official trade data from Eurostat.

Total exports during the month reached 6,952 metric tons (MT), down 13% from the previous month's total of 8,003. So far shipments have totalled 14,954 MT, down from 139,690 during the previous calendar year.

Recent movement statistics showed Turkey was biggest consumer, buying 6,017 MT for the month. United States was the second most important consumer receiving 381 MT, followed by Canada at 174 MT.
