Field Pea Imports By Spain Start On Strong Tone
PANAMA - Apr 17/19 - SNS -- At this point in the calendar year on a a firmer tone, with field pea imports for Spain were up sharply, soaring relative to the previous month in February, judging from official trade data from Eurostat.
Imports for the month reached 10,369 metric tons (MT), up from 2,595 MT the previous month. This increased imports so far during the calendar year to 12,964, up 31% last year.
During the month, Kazakhstan was the number one supplier, shipping 7,072 MT. Russia was the second most important exporter shipping 3,034 MT, followed by Canada at 195 MT.
