Oil-type Sunflower Imports By Italy Open On Easy Tone

PANAMA - Apr 17/19 - SNS -- Italy's imports of oil-type sunflowers in February posted massive declines, sinking versus the previous month, according to data from Eurostat.

Imports reached 291 metric tons (MT) in the month, down 95% from the 5,935 MT exported the previous month. Imports so far total 6,226 MT, compared to 33,325 during the previous calendar year.

Serbia was the biggest export origin, shipping 233 MT. Egypt was the second most important supplier selling 24 MT, followed by Argentina at 22 MT.
