Portugal's Oil-type Sunflower Imports Start With Weak Tendency

PANAMA - Apr 17/19 - SNS -- Portugal's imports of oil-type sunflowers in February sank compared to the previous month, according to data from Eurostat.

Total imports throughout the month amounted to 699 metric tons (MT), down 97% from the previous month's total of 20,142. So far imports have reached 20,841 MT, down from 60,554 during the last calendar year.

For the month, Spain was the largest supplier, shipping 668 MT. Bulgaria was the second most important exporter supplying 25 MT, followed by Germany at 6 MT.
