Sunflower Seed Exports From Russia Record Weak Month
PANAMA - Apr 11/19 - SNS -- Started the current calendar year recordeda weaker result, with sunflower seed movement from Russia posted significant declines, slumping compared to the previous month in January, according to trade data from Federal Customs Service of Russia.
The updated data showed shipments during the month totalled 10,700 metric tons (MT), down 20% from 13,409 the previous month. Compared to the same month last year, movement are up 52% from 7,025 MT.
The latest movement statistics reported Kazakhstan was number one consumer, receiving 4,747 MT. Belarus was the second most important destination taking 3,139 MT, followed by China at 2,048 MT.
