Stiff Price Competition in Lentils
PANAMA - Apr 5/19 - SNS -- Lentil markets maintained their easy tone through the past week amid strong competition between exporters and growers for available demand.
Preliminary data suggests Canada's bulk export movement slowed in March, perhaps dropping to its lowest monthly level so far during the marketing year.
Even so, bulk lentils loaded for export through terminal and direct from primary elevators has pushed past 403,000 MT between August and March, compared to actual bulk export loadings of just under 195,000 MT during the same eight month period last year.
