Minor Increase in Barley Seedings

WASHINGTON - Mar 29/19 - SNS -- U.S. producers intend to seed 2.55 million acres of barley for the 2019 crop year, up slightly from the previous year, according to this year's USDA seeding intentions report.

A record low planted acreage is estimated for New York and Utah, both down 10% from 2018. In Idaho, planted acreage is expected to decrease by 15% from last year.
