WASHINGTON - Mar 29/19 - SNS -- Growers intend to plant 1.45 million acres in 2019, up 2% from 2018, according to this year's USDA seeding intentions report.
The States expecting an increase in planted area are Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Oklahoma, and Texas. In Georgia, the largest peanut- producing State, expected planted area is up 1% from 2018.
