India's Field Pea Imports Reveal Improved Performance

PANAMA - Mar 28/19 - SNS -- At this point in the current calendar year posted a better result, with field pea imports by India made solid gains, advancing compared to the previous month in December, judging from the most recent data from Directorate General of Commercial Intelligence & Statistics.

Imports for the month totalled 61,361 metric tons (MT), up from 43,871 MT the prior month. This increased imports so far during the calendar year to 840,925, down 73% last year.

Canada was the largest supplier for the month, supplying 30,393 MT. Ukraine was the second most important supplier selling 12,035 MT, followed by Russia at 9,464 MT.
