Weakness in Lentils
PANAMA - Mar 22/19 - SNS -- Global lentil markets finished the week's trading on an easier note as processors and exporters work to clear inventories before seeding gets underway in the northern hemisphere.
Asking prices continue to occupy a wide range, with some sellers appearing to be reducing margins to just cover costs in an effort to maintain throughout at their facilities.
There has been some weakness in grower bid levels. Though competition for product remains relatively keen, the prices growers are seeing at the bottom end of their historic ranges.
