Oil-type Sunflower Imports By France Start With Firm Tone
PANAMA - Mar 20/19 - SNS -- France's imports of oil-type sunflowers during January saw modestincreases, inching up versus the previous month, according to data from Eurostat.
Imports during the opening month of the calendar year totalled 40,826 metric tons (MT), up 3% from 1,109 MT the previous month. The statistics showed imports was up 8% from the 463 MT reported in the same month last year.
Romania was the top exporter, supplying 39,690 MT. Spain was the second most important exporter selling 908 MT, followed by Bulgaria at 89 MT.
