Field Pea Exports From Lithuania Start With Strong Note
PANAMA - Mar 20/19 - SNS -- Lithuania's shipments of field peas during January leapt compared to the previous month, according to data from Eurostat.
Export sales during the first month of the calendar year totalled 23,765 metric tons (MT), up 96% from 12,150 MT the previous month. The statistics showed exports is up 178% from the 8,560 MT recorded in the same month last year.
In the month, United Kingdom was the largest destination, buying 12,367 MT. Belgium was the second most important buyer receiving 4,200 MT, followed by Latvia at 4,070 MT.
