Italy's Oil-type Sunflower Imports Open On Easy Tone
PANAMA - Mar 20/19 - SNS -- Imports of oil-type sunflowers by Italy fell sharply relative to the previous month in January, data from Eurostat shows.
Imports for the opening month of the calendar year totalled 261 metric tons (MT), down 97% from 8,577 MT the previous month. The data revealed imports is down 99% from the 27,782 MT recorded in the same month last year.
The largest origin for the month was Serbia, selling 171 MT. Egypt was the second most important exporter supplying 53 MT, followed by Moldova at 19 MT.
