Oil-type Sunflower Imports By Portugal Start With Easy Tendency

PANAMA - Mar 20/19 - SNS -- Are beginning the calendar year with a weaker tendency, with oil-type sunflower imports for Portugal were slightly lower, falling relative to the previous month in January, according to the most recent statistics from Eurostat.

The latest data showed imports during the month totalled 20,150 metric tons (MT), down 4% from 20,972 the previous month. Compared to the same month last year, imports are down 50% from 40,238 MT.

The most important origin throughout the month was Romania, shipping 20,052 MT. Spain was the second most important shipper selling 96 MT, followed by Germany at 2 MT.
