Soybean Imports By Italy Start On Strong Tone
PANAMA - Mar 20/19 - SNS -- Are beginning the current calendar year on their a stronger tone, with soybean imports by Italy made minorimprovement, rising relative to the previous month in January, according to the most recent data from Eurostat.
The most recent data showed imports during the month totalled 192,760 metric tons (MT), up 2% from 188,113 the previous month. Versus the same month last year, imports are up 27% from 152,151 MT.
Current trade data revealed United States was biggest exporter, selling 178,055 MT in the month. Canada was the second most important origin selling 10,020 MT, followed by Ukraine at 2,877 MT.
