Oil-type Sunflower Imports By Spain Open On Weak Note

PANAMA - Mar 20/19 - SNS -- Spain's imports of oil-type sunflowers in January posted massive declines, sinking compared to the previous month, judging from data from Eurostat.

Imports for the first month of the calendar year totalled 38 metric tons (MT), down 100% from 28,112 MT the previous month. The data showed imports was down 99% from the 5,396 MT recorded in the same month last year.

The largest supplier for the month was Egypt, shipping 28 MT. Argentina was the second most important origin supplying 10 MT, followed by Indonesia at 0 MT.
