Few Changes in Peaa

PANAMA - Mar 15/19 - SNS -- Field pea markets ended the week trading little changed with markets focussed on short term movement and filling in supply gaps.

Residual supplies of peas are expected to decline despite poor demand from India. This reflects China's emergence as the most important export destination for peas.

However, a large part of China's demand was for feed peas. Reports that China's feed mills have seen sales drop 20% over last year because of the spread of African swine fever are creating some distress about long term demand prospects.
