Mixed Week For Beans
PANAMA - Mar 8/19 - SNS -- International dry edible bean markets closed the weak somewhat mixed as demand from most destinations remains behind supplies available from processors and exporters.
Even so, the U.S. spot index for beans was marginally higher, rising 0.3 points on the week to finish at 115.4 points, partly reflecting improved optimism about demand prospects from Mexico.
By contrast, the Canadian pulse price index lost 2.4 points to finish at 136.5, while the world pulse price index ended 1.3 points lower to close at 144.7.
