Australia's Broadbean Exports Start With Strong Tone

PANAMA - Mar 7/19 - SNS -- Opened the marketing year with their a stronger tone, with broadbean shipments from Australia advanced compared to the previous month in January, according to official trade statistics from Australia Bureau of Statistics.

Export sales for the first month of the marketing year totalled 48,193 metric tons (MT), up 14% from 42,352 MT the previous month. The data showed export sales is up 14% from the 90,891 MT recorded for the same month last year.

For the month, Egypt was the top importer, taking 15,062 MT. Egypt was the second most important buyer buying 13,745 MT, followed by Saudi Arabia at 5,116 MT.
