Mexico's Kidney Bean Imports Reveal Weak Performance

PANAMA - Mar 4/19 - SNS -- Mexico's imports of kidney beans during November were little changed, dropping compared to the previous month, judging from data from Instituto Nacional de Estadistica y Geografia.

Imports during the month reached 13,749 metric tons (MT), down from 16,819 MT the prior month. This lifted imports so far during the calendar year to 157,721, up 21% last year.

United States was the largest export origin during the month, selling 11,207 MT. Argentina was the second most important export origin selling 2,254 MT, followed by Canada at 288 MT.
