Peas Shine in Pulse Universe
PANAMA - Feb 22/19 - SNS -- Field peas remain one of the bright spots in world pulse markets, helped by the fact much of the world's surplus production has already been diverted into livestock feed markets.
This reflected in a massive increase in movement from Canada to China as well as from Russia to countries like Italy and Spain.
Australia's farmers are likewise seeing improved demand from domestic livestock feed markets for lower quality peas and other pulses. The combination is helping reduce inventories in that country and elsewhere.
