Germany's Oil-type Sunflower Imports Maintain Weak Tone

PANAMA - Feb 22/19 - SNS -- Germany's imports of oil-type sunflowers in December fell sharply versus the previous month, according to data from Eurostat.

Total imports for the month amounted to 89 metric tons (MT) , down 99% from the previous month's total of 13,038. So far imports have reached 102,513 MT, down from 122,228 during the previous calendar year.

The most recent trade data reported Moldova was number one exporter, selling 52 MT. Egypt was the second most important supplier selling 27 MT, followed by Iraq at 6 MT.
