Oil-type Sunflower Imports From Bulgaria Record Soft Month
PANAMA - Feb 22/19 - SNS -- Imports of oil-type sunflowers for Bulgaria plunged compared to the previous month in December, official data from Eurostat shows.
Imports totalled 6,891 metric tons (MT) during the month, down 84% from the 43,365 MT shipped the previous month. Imports so far total 281,816 MT, versus 154,040 during the last calendar year.
Serbia was the top shipper, shipping 5,152 MT. Moldova was the second most important origin selling 1,567 MT, followed by Turkey at 156 MT.
