France's Oil-type Sunflower Exports Reveal Weak Performance
PANAMA - Feb 22/19 - SNS -- France's export shipments of oil-type sunflowers during December were well down, plunging versus the previous month, judging from data from Eurostat.
Shipments reached 22,587 metric tons (MT) for the month, down 52% from the 46,821 MT shipped the previous month. Export sales so far total 396,692 MT, compared to 261,666 during the previous calendar year.
During the month, Spain was the largest buyer, receiving 15,095 MT. Belgium was the second most important buyer taking 4,455 MT, followed by Germany at 2,050 MT.
