Germany's Confection Sunflower Imports Extend Soft Trend
PANAMA - Feb 22/19 - SNS -- Imports of confection sunflowers for Germany posted massive declines, sinking versus the previous month in December, the most recent data from Eurostat shows.
Imports totalled 1,468 metric tons (MT) in the month, down 95% from the 29,746 MT shipped the previous month. Imports so far total 209,288 MT, compared to 216,124 during the previous calendar year.
Recent movement data showed Moldova was biggest supplier, shipping 519 MT in the month. Turkey was the second most important exporter shipping 470 MT, followed by China at 215 MT.
