Oil-type Sunflower Imports From Romania Reveal Slow Month

PANAMA - Feb 22/19 - SNS -- Romania's imports of oil-type sunflowers during December posted significant declines, slumping compared to the previous month, according to data from Eurostat.

Imports for the month reached 21,758 metric tons (MT), down from 32,465 MT the prior month. This increased imports so far during the calendar year to 279,397, up 10% last year.

In the month, Moldova was the most important export origin, selling 21,451 MT. Ukraine was the second most important exporter selling 210 MT, followed by Turkey at 97 MT.
