Argentina's Chickpea Exports Post Strong Performance
PANAMA - Feb 19/19 - SNS -- So far during the calendar year recorded a better result, with chickpea movement from Argentina posted major gains , advancing relative to the previous month in December, according to available statistics from Instituto Nacional de Estadistica y Censos.
Exports for the month totalled 7,559 metric tons (MT), up from 5,233 MT the prior month. This boosted export sales so far during the calendar year to 141,309, down 15% last year.
Other was the biggest consumer during the month, receiving 1,824 MT. United Arab Emirates was the second most important importer buying 1,698 MT, followed by Spain at 1,085 MT.
