Russia's Chickpea Exports Post Strong Oucome
PANAMA - Feb 13/19 - SNS -- Export shipments of chickpeas for Russia recorded major advances , moving upward relative to the previous month in November, official data from Federal Customs Service of Russia reports.
Exports for the month totalled 26,361 metric tons (MT), up from 19,527 MT the previous month. This lifted shipments so far during the calendar year to 105,251, down 23% last year.
During the month, Turkey was the top consumer, taking 9,797 MT. Pakistan was the second most important destination receiving 6,613 MT, followed by Egypt at 2,383 MT.
