Australia's Lentils Exports Post Better Performance
PANAMA - Feb 6/19 - SNS -- Movement of lentilss for Australia leapt relative to the previous month in December, official data from Australia Bureau of Statistics reports.
Shipments totalled 26,561 metric tons (MT) in the month, up 61% from the 16,456 MT shipped the previous month. Export sales so far total 43,017 MT, compared to 98,427 in the same period the last marketing year.
The top buyer during the month was Sri Lanka, taking 9,505 MT. Bangladesh was the second most important buyer receiving 6,068 MT, followed by Sri Lanka at 3,033 MT.
