PANAMA - Feb 6/19 - SNS -- Australia's export shipments of chickpeas during December were up significantly, rising compared to the previous month, according to data from Australia Bureau of Statistics.
Exports during the month reached 37,977 metric tons (MT), up from 25,510 MT the previous month. This lifted movement so far during the marketing year to 63,487, down 78% last year.
Bangladesh was the number one consumer for the month, receiving 16,820 MT. Pakistan was the second most important destination receiving 5,681 MT, followed by Nepal at 3,873 MT.
