Modest HGke Forecast for Canadian Beans
PANAMA - Jan 18/19 - SNS -- In its latest monthly review of Canadian dry edible beans Agriculture Canada's market analysis branch in Winnipeg issued its first forecast of seeded area and production for the 2019-20 marketing year. The forecasts are not based on surveys of growers.
It predicts production will total 345,000 MT from 145,000 hectares, compared to 341,000 MT from 143,000 hectares last year.
Agriculture Canada forecasts exports will reach 350,000 MT in 2019-20, compared to 355,000 this season and 351,000 MT the previous marketing year. Domestic use is forecast at 25,000 MT in the coming marketing year, versus 26,000 MT this season.
