Pigeon Pea Imports From India Extend Soft Tendency

PANAMA3 - Jan 17/19 - SNS -- India's imports of pigeon peas in November posted significant declines, slumping compared to the previous month, judging from data from Directorate General of Commercial Intelligence & Statistics.

Total imports throughout the month amounted to 32,549 metric tons (MT) , down 33% from the previous month's total of 48,261. So far Imports to 385,471 MT, down from 448,259 during the last calendar year.

Mozambique was the biggest origin for the month, shipping 21,744 MT. Tanzania was the second most important origin shipping 6,429 MT, followed by Myanmar at 2,420 MT.
