India's Lentil Imports Maintain Weak Trend

PANAMA2 - Jan 17/19 - SNS -- At this point in this calendar year maintained a easier trend, with lentil imports for India sank relative to the previous month in November, according to data from Directorate General of Commercial Intelligence & Statistics.

Imports reached 21,255 metric tons (MT) during the month, down 68% from the 66,509 MT exported the previous month. Imports so far total 207,214 MT, compared to 1,082,305 during the last calendar year.

Canada was the largest supplier for the month, selling 14,904 MT. United States was the second most important supplier selling 2,052 MT, followed by Netherlands at 1,983 MT.
